
On November 21, 2025, the opening ceremony of the "Southeast University - Belarusian State University of Foreign Languages Volleyball Friendship Match" and the launch
of SEU 2025 International Open Day Series kicked off grandly at the Jiulonghu Campus Gymnasium. Co-organized by the School of Overseas Education, the Sports
Department, and the SEU Youth League Committee, this event marked the beginning of the SEU 2025 International Open Day series.
Cultural Exchange Meets Internationalization: Showcasing Multicultural Charm
The opening event of this year’s International Open Day featured touching moments of cultural exchange. SEU international students from Belarus and other countries, jointly
delivered cultural performances that blend Chinese and Belarusian elements. Belarusian students staged an vibrant cheerleading performance (“This Is How We Do It”),
showcasing unique exotic cultural charm. Meanwhile, international students from various countries performed the Chinese dance “Magnificent Mountains and Rivers”,
presenting the openness and inclusiveness of Chinese civilization through graceful movements. These performances vividly reflected SEU’s steadfast commitment to building
an international campus ecosystem where diverse cultures converge and the young people from all around the world thrive together.

Sports for Cooperation, Stronger Intercollegiate Exchange
Both universities attached great importance to this exchange event. During the match, the women’s volleyball teams from both sides demonstrated vigorous vitality and a
tenacious competitive spirit. Every thrilling moment won rounds of applause and cheers from the audience, with the SEU team ultimately secured a 3-0 victory. After the
match, representatives and players from both universities exchanged commemorative gifts, symbolizing the deepening of their friendship. Although the volleyball friendship
match concluded, the spirit of “unity, respect, and win-win” it conveyed echoes the principles both universities uphold in their educational cooperation.
As akey partner for SEU in the Russian-speaking region, BSUFL serves as avital platform for SEU to deepen higher education cooperation with countries along the Belt and
Road Initiative. Since the joint establishment of a Confucius Institute in 2011, the two universities have established stable cooperation mechanisms covering Chinese
language education, faculty exchange, student visits, and joint training programs. This event, following the visit of the SEU delegation to Belarus in October this year,
represents the concrete implementation of their cooperative outcomes and marks a new stage of development in their partnership.

Promoting Cultivation of International Talents to Build a New Pattern of Openness and Inclusiveness
As the starting point of the “International Open Day” series, the opening ceremony closely revolved around the core objectives of “innovatively planning the
internationalization strategy and enhancing the quality of high-level international talent cultivation.” The School of Overseas Education, SEU will consider the International
Open Day as an opportunity to host more diverse international exchange activities, aiming to build a more open, inclusive, and efficient pattern of international education
and provide a broader platform for cultivating high-level talents with a global perspective.
